After heavy rains lashed Maharashtra last month, certain areas in the state were flooded with water for days. Many families were left stranded as the flooding led to the massive destruction of property in those areas. In a kind gesture, the brother duo of Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan have come forward to help those families.
Ronita, founder of the Jikoni Foundation took to social media to express gratitude to the Pathan brothers. She tweeted a video in which the villagers of the affected areas described their plight due to the unfortunate situation. The villagers couldn’t access water, or venture out in the dark as there has been no electricity in the areas for many days.
The founder of the Jikoni Foundation wrote:

The Pathan brothers and their father’s charitable organization donated solar lamps to the families affected due to floods. Their generous contribution has helped hundreds of families. Irfan Pathan replied to the tweet, he wrote:
“Wonderful and real work on the ground guys. Keep it up. Thank you Lala @iamyusufpathan for this…”
Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan have time and again helped the people in need by contributing whatever possible they could. The villagers of the affected areas thanked the Pathan brothers. “We had to venture outside in the dark, but now it is much easier ever since we have solar-powered lights,” said a villager.
“I am very grateful towards Irfan Pathan and Jikoni foundation for solar-powered electricity,” said another in the video uploaded by the founder of the Jikoni Foundation.
