Is Arshdeep Singh Playing In The 2024 IND vs BAN 3rd T20I?

Arshdeep Singh, the pacer for Team India and Punjab Kings (PBKS), will not participate in the third T20I match between India and Bangladesh today, October 12. This match is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad.

Arshdeep Singh has been included in the T20I squads all year, only being rested for the series against Zimbabwe. In addition to the five T20Is on that tour, he has consistently started for Team India and is one of the joint-highest wicket-takers (17) in the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

At the toss, India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav announced that Ravi Bishnoi will be replacing the pacer. He stated:

“When you have already won the series, you can be complacent. It is about continuing the good habits. It is about giving freedom to everyone to express themselves. Only one change, Bishnoi comes in for Arshdeep.”

Playing XI for Team India in the third T20I: Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson (WK), Varun Chakaravarthy, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav (C), Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Yadav.

Team India has an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 2024 T20I series against Bangladesh

After securing a 2-0 victory in the Test series, Team India achieved an unassailable lead in the three-match T20I series. The hosts triumphed in the first game in Gwalior by seven wickets, aided by Arshdeep Singh’s exceptional bowling performance.

In the second match, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh formed a significant partnership, enabling the hosts to post a total of 221/9. Bangladesh couldn’t chase the target and lost by 86 runs, giving India a 2-0 lead in the series.

Both teams will meet in the final match of the tour, aiming to secure a victory to conclude the white-ball segment on a high note.
