Ishant Sharma Reveals His Favourite Batsman; Dumps Sachin Tendulkar

Team India’s tall and lanky fast bowler Ishant Sharma has witnessed a steep growth in his international career in recent times. Recently, in a candid chat with Cricbuzz, has had his say on who he believes is the best batsman of all time. Shockingly, Sharma has not picked the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar.

The veteran fast bowler has looked impressive in recent times in the red-ball side for Team India. Ishant had a great start to his career when he had surprised everyone with his quickness and accuracy. Although he has struggled with injuries a lot in his career, but the cricketer from Delhi has found a way to come out every time.

In an interview with Cricbuzz, Ishant has revealed certain aspects of his life that have been behind the doors all this while. On being asked about who is his favourite batsman, Ishant was very clear about the best batsman he has ever seen and he didn’t pick Tendulkar despite playing with him for the Indian National Cricket Team for a long time.

On being asked about his favourite batsman between Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, Ishant said, “Virat Kohli is the best batsman I have ever seen play on a cricket field.” 

Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma and Virat Kohli share a great camaraderie both coming from Delhi and has played a lot of cricket growing up together. Incidentally, Kohli – the India skipper is also arguably the best batsman of the current generation averaging above 50 in all three formats of the game.
