For all the true cricket lovers around the globe, ICC women”s cricket world cup got underway today with England and India facing off in the first match.
England being the strong favourites decide to chase against India, while they would have hoped for some early wickets Indian opening batter Smriti Mandhana put the English bowlers to the sword in the first powerplay as India piled on a huge first wicket partnership of over 140. Waiting for her turn next, the skipper Mithali Raj who was in the headline only a couple of days ago for her epic response to Journalist was seen reading a book sitting on a plastic chair just before going into bat.
