Ben Stokes, the captain of England, responded touchingly when James Anderson chose to spend his retirement day playing cricket with his children. On Friday, July 12, after England defeated the West Indies by an innings and 114 runs at Lord’s in the first Test, Anderson announced his retirement from international cricket.

The crowd got up to cheer for Anderson as he left the Lord’s stadium for the last time after the contest. At the end of his legendary career, Anderson accepted the applause with a moved expression on his face and tears in his eyes as he walked off the field.

Anderson decided to play cricket with Ben Stokes’ kids on his first day of retirement following the contest.

Anderson is seen gently bowling to the children in a lovely viral video. According to Stokes’ later comments, his son was fielding and his daughter was hitting at this special time.
