India’s cricket team received a major blow on the second day of the fifth Test as skipper Jasprit Bumrah had to walk off the field to undergo scans in the post-lunch session after throwing only one over. In Bumrah’s absence, Kohli assumed the role of captain for the matches.

For that reason, Bumrah was caught leaving the stadium in a van together with the rest of the Indian team’s support staff. Reports have it that he recently brought back scans from St Vincent’s hospital in Sydney. The findings from the scans are expected by the end of the day’s play in order to know the severity of Bumrah’s injury.

They are especially a bit worried as to how they will manage without the premier pace bowler, Bumrah. The team will be waiting for the scan result in order to determine the extent of the injuries before the team starts making their next moves.

On the second day of the fifth Test at Sydney Cricket Ground, star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah created a new record by crossing the previous records to become the Indian bowler to take the most wickets in a Test series in Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah achieved this landmark by dismissing Marnus Labuschagne, which was his second wicket in the match and the 32nd in the series. This accomplishment takes his place beyond the prior record for the series, held by 1977-78 Bishan Singh Bedi, with 31 wickets. This mastery in bowling by Bumrah shows that he is among the best bowlers in the current India team.

Indeed, the game is the proof that he is talented and serious in the game because of setting the record. Bumrah made his mark as one of the highlights of India’s Test series against Australia.
