Jasprit Bumrah’s “Lion-Hearted” Tribute To Zlatan On His Retirement

AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic made an emotional speech in which he announced his retirement from football after his team’s final game of 2022–23.

In order to honor the legend, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah posted a message on Twitter.

“For being a constant source of inspiration for me and helping me discover that lion-hearted never-back-down attitude, thank you”. You’ve made outstanding memories through your time in the game that’ll live on.

For “helping him discover a lion-hearted, never-back-down attitude,” Jasprit Bumrah thanks football great Ibrahimovic”.

“Through your time in the game, you’ve created incredible memories that will endure”, Bumrah tweeted.

The Swedish striker announced his retirement on Sunday, saying, “The time has come to say goodbye to football.”

His contract with the team was set to expire at the end of June. An Ibrahimovic quote was used by Sky Sports.

The veteran Swedish player began his second stint at Milanello in January 2020 and has made a significant impact on and off the field.

He has previously played for teams like Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and LA Galaxy.

Ibrahimovic has 511 goals in 866 club games and 62 goals in 122 international matches

The former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain player has played in four games so far this year.

Ibrahimovic left the national team after Euro 2016. He is Sweden’s all-time leading scorer with 62 goals in 121 games.

Later, in 2021, he rejoined them once more for their futile World Cup qualifying campaign.

Bumrah, however, has been noticeably sidelined for the past eight to nine months due to a back injury.

Bumrah underwent lower back surgery in New Zealand in April. He was successfully treated and was able to be pain-free as a result.

Additionally, he was absent from the 2023 IPL.
