Jemimah Rodrigues Stumped While Attempting Reverse Sweep In DC vs RCB WPL 2025

Delhi Capitals (DC) batter Jemimah Rodrigues was stumped while attempting a reverse sweep against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) spinner Georgia Wareham. Wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh executed a sharp stumping to dismiss the well-set Rodrigues.

Jemimah showcased great form during her short stay at the crease against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Batting at number three for Delhi, she played with confidence and fluency, quickly amassing 34 runs off 21 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes, to give her team a solid start.

On the 22nd delivery of her innings, Rodrigues attempted a reverse sweep but failed to connect. The ball went straight to wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh, who reacted swiftly and removed the bails in an instant after spotting Rodrigues outside the crease, bringing an end to her promising knock.

Jemimah is the only Delhi Capitals batter to score over 30 runs in their ongoing match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, showcasing her importance in the lineup. Following her dismissal, DC suffered a batting collapse and slipped to 109/6 in 14.4 overs, struggling to build momentum.

Can Jemimah Rodrigues’ innings contribute to a Delhi Capitals victory?

Jemimah Rodrigues is currently one of India’s top women’s batters and played a key role in Delhi Capitals’ run to the final in the first two seasons of the Women’s Premier League. This season, she began with a modest two runs off five balls against Mumbai Indians but made a strong comeback with a 22-ball 34 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

When Rodrigues was dismissed against RCB, DC was well-placed at 60/2 in the seventh over. However, RCB seized control from that point, building pressure and taking four more wickets while giving away just 55 runs in the next seven overs.
