Jofra Archer Not Included In The IPL Auction Shortlist; Pant, Rahul, And Iyer Feature In The Marquee List

Jofra Archer

Jofra Archer missed the last season of IPL.

England fast bowler Jofra Archer has not made it to the final list of players for the IPL 2025 auction, set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25. The final list features 574 players, including 366 Indians and 208 overseas, with Archer notably absent.

In contrast, veteran James Anderson has been included. The 10 IPL teams have 204 available slots to fill, with 70 reserved for overseas players. The auction will begin at 12:30 PM local time (3:00 PM IST).

Also missing from the list is Cameron Green, who was part of a major trade between RCB and MI for INR 17 Crore. Green recently underwent surgery for a long-term lower-back stress fracture, ruling him out for six months, including the Australian summer.

The 10 teams need to fill a total of 204 slots

Originally, 1,574 players had registered for the auction, but that number has now been reduced by 1,000. There will be two marquee player groups: M1 includes Jos Buttler, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, and Mitchell Starc.

Whereas, M2 features Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj. Among these 12, only Miller has a reserve price of INR 1.50 Crore, with the others set at the maximum INR 2 Crore.
