Jofra Archer is one of the few England cricketers who hasn’t made any fuss about the Ahmedabad pitch. The England fast bowler believes the pitch was fair and Test matches even in England get over in two days. Archer who is known for his witty sense of humour also made sure hew mentioned the only complaint he has in Ahmedabad.
The England fast bowler was having wi-fi issues as soon as he was in his quarantine at Ahmedabad. Archer left everyone in splits when he said there’s nothing much to complain about in life apart from wi-fi.
Doesn’t matter what pitches we play on- Jofra Archer
“To me, it doesn’t matter what pitches we play on. There’s not much to complain about in life — apart from bad Wi-Fi, of course! The day-nighter I played against Glamorgan three years ago was over in five sessions and on the day I signed my first Sussex contract we beat Leicestershire inside two days, so matches finish quickly in England, too”, Archer said.
The fast bowler in his column for the Daily Mail wrote that everyone needs to accept that pitches in India are going to turn and will be difficult for batting. Archer also pointed out that the third Test match was all about the spinners and it was hard to take the ball away from them.
“In the first innings in Ahmedabad, it felt hard to get the ball away against their spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel. And so, ahead of the second innings, Joe Root encouraged us all to be fearless in our approach. He wanted us to realise we had nothing to lose and not to go into our shells, and he urged us to keep the same mentality for the rest of this series”, Archer added.

Meanwhile, Jofra Archer will be aiming to end the Test series on a high and contribute with an impactful performance. He was impressive in his opening spell in the opening Test but faded away as the pitches started becoming spin-friendly. The fourth and final Test match between England and India will begin on March 4 at Ahmedabad.
