Mumbai Indians currently stand at the last position in the points table. Mumbai has lost 10 matches in this season which is the most number of matches they have lost in any season. But with the inclusion of Jofra Archer in the team, Mumbai Indians would get stronger next year.

England pacer Jofra Archer was bought by Mumbai Indians in the mega auctions of IPL 2022 at a price of ₹8 Crores. Jofra recently received a memorable gift from Mumbai Indians. MI sent the Mumbai Indians team jersey and suitcase with Archer’s name on it.

Jofra shared this in an instagram story where he posted his MI team jersey with the caption “What a lovely touch, thank you so much guys “.  The 27-year-old pacer would play a crucial role for Mumbai Indians in upcoming seasons. He would pair up with Bumrah which is going to be the most dangerous bowling duo.

Mumbai have had a horrible ongoing season in the Indian Premier League. They have lacked the impactful wicket taking spells from their bowlers. Jofra would definitely fill this void in the MI team next year. He was trusted by Mumbai Indians in the auction despite them knowing that Archer wouldn’t be available for the IPL 2022 season.

I just need some game time- Jofra Archer

Recently, Jofra Archer talked about his recovery from the elbow injury. Archer revealed that he is building up really well and bowling  some really quick balls in the net. Jofra believes that he is not far away from being 100% match fit. Jofra Archer has missed almost one year of International Cricket and IPL due to elbow injury.

Jofra Archer said “Now I just need some game time to be able to put my trust in the elbow. I’ve not trusted it supporting me for a long period, so it’s going to take a little bit of work to do so and bowl at full tilt. That’s the hurdle I am trying to get over now, to get myself out of that comfort zone and to full capacity; to have the confidence to play without thinking about the injury.”
