Watch – Josh Hazlewood Bowls A Ripper To Castle Cheteshwar Pujara’s Timber

Australia Cricket Team pacer Josh Hazlewood bowled arguably the best ball of the Test match to rattle Cheteshwar Pujara’s timber on day 5 of the match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. With this dismissal, Hazlewood once again took the game to their court as they look to go 2-1 up in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.

Meanwhile, India started the day on a bad note losing Ajinkya Rahane early off Nathan Lyon. Since then, it was only Rishabh Pant, who ran a rampage against the Aussie attack. Starting slow, the batsman, who injured his left arm while batting in the first innings, took on Nathan Lyon hitting over the on-field to score runs quickly.

India went unscathed into lunch and when they came out, Rishabh Pant showed similar intent as he entered the 90s with consecutive boundaries. Playing his aggressive game, the youngster finally fell prey to Nathan Lyon as the ball bite the dust to find Pant’s outer edge with Pat Cummins doing the rest.

Josh Hazlewood breaks Cheteshwar Pujara’s defense

The onus was all on Cheteshwar Pujara, who is yet to score a century in the series. India’s No.3, who was criticised for showing no intent during the first innings, played some extravagant shots to keep the scoreboard ticking until a ripper from Josh Hazlewood broke his defense.

It’s a length delivery around the off-stump from Josh Hazlewood and it keeps low as well. Cheteshwar Pujara played down the wrong line as the ball that was angled in straightens off the deck and strikes timber. Hazlewood knows the importance of the wicket and he is literally pumped and so are the Aussies.

Two set batsmen – Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant, both are back to the pavilion. And the rest are either injured or tail-enders. Going to be a tough task for India from here on. Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari, who is in serious trouble with his hamstring, will have to bat long to save the Test match.
