Josh Hazlewood Hails Rohit Sharma: ‘He’s Got All the Time In The World

Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood recently heaped praise on India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Test series. Hazlewood commended Rohit for his ability to score runs under challenging conditions and for the flexibility he brings to the team. Since assuming the Test captaincy, Rohit has accumulated 1,101 runs, including four centuries.

With the Border-Gavaskar Trophy looming as the next big Test series, Hazlewood reflected on the difficulty of bowling to Rohit, describing him as having “all the time in the world.” He added, “I remember one time India came out, he batted at 5 or 6 and then last time he opened. He’s faced the new ball a lot. I feel like he plays the quicks unbelievably well. The bounce doesn’t seem to worry him, the movement doesn’t. He’s got all the time in the world. So, I find him quite tough to bowl to.”

Meanwhile, Indian cricketer Akash Deep, at a pre-match press conference ahead of the second Test between India and Bangladesh at Green Park, also spoke highly of Rohit Sharma, as well as Virat Kohli. Reflecting on his experiences with the cricket legends, Deep said, “They are legends of the game.”

He emphasized how much he has learned from their dedication and work ethic, particularly noting the impact of Rohit’s leadership. “I have been learning about dedication and hard work from Virat and Rohit,” Deep mentioned.

Deep expressed his appreciation for playing under Rohit’s captaincy, praising the supportive atmosphere Sharma creates. “I consider myself lucky to play under Rohit Sharma. He has never put me under any pressure. He has always backed me to play freely. I never felt that I am playing international cricket. He makes everything simple,” Deep added, underscoring the positive influence of Rohit’s leadership style on the team.
