Team India pacer Mohammed Shami recently reunited with his daughter Aaira. He took her shopping at a mall and posted a video on his social media. In an emotional caption, Shami expressed his feelings about seeing his daughter after a long time. He wrote:
“Time stood still when I saw her again after long time . Love you more than words can say, Bebo❤️.”

Shami’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, has claimed that he doesn’t ask about their daughter. She mentioned that Aaira wanted to buy a guitar and a camera, but Shami opted to take her to a showroom for a brand he endorses instead.
Regarding Shami’s visit with Aaira, Jahan told anandabazar.com:
“It’s just for the sake of showing off. My daughter’s passport has expired. Shami’s signature is required for the new passport. That is why she went to meet her father but Shami did not sign. He went to a shopping mall with her daughter.”
“The company for which Shami advertises, he took her there. My daughter bought shoes and clothes from that shop. Shami does not have to pay if he buys anything from there. That’s why she was taken there. My daughter wanted a guitar and camera, he didn’t buy her those stuff.”
“Shami never enquires about my daughter. Shami is only busy with himself. He met her just a month back, but did not post anything back then. I think there was nothing to post now,” she added.
Mohammed Shami and Hasin Jahan married in 2014 and welcomed their daughter Aaira in 2015. However, they experienced a contentious separation, with Jahan filing an FIR in 2018, accusing Shami and his family of domestic violence.

In a March Instagram post, Hasin Jahan accused Mohammed Shami of potentially planning to murder her with the assistance of the police and government. She claimed she had not received adequate support from the authorities.
Jahan further stated that she and her daughter faced mistreatment from officials at the Amroha police station. She wrote:
“I was treated badly by my star husband and his family, I was forced to seek administrative and court help. But I did not get administrative help the way I should have. Amroha’s police tortured me and my 3-year-old daughter.”
“The government has insulted me and is watching the show of injustice done to me and is still watching, while people have still not found out the truth. Kolkata lower court is doing injustice. Shami Ahmed (Mohammed Shami), BJP government and U.P. With the help of police he will plan to murder me.”

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami has been preparing for his return to cricket. He has been sidelined since the 2023 ODI World Cup and underwent Achilles heel surgery earlier this year.
