“Kaha Gir Rha Hai Bhai” – Rishabh Pant Humorously Mocks His Unorthodox Shot

DC captain Rishabh Pant made 41 runs from 24 balls in the IPL 2024 match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 12th. Pant impressed the audience with some spectacular shots, including two sixes and four boundaries, achieving a strike rate of 170.83.

In the last delivery of the 12th over, Pant executed an unconventional shot against Marus Stoinis, sending the ball to the boundary for four runs. He adjusted his position and attempted a ramp shot over short fine leg. While playing the shot, the wicketkeeper-batsman lost his balance and tumbled to the ground.

After the match, Pant posted a photo of the shot on his Instagram story and humorously teased himself.

“Kaha gir rha hai bhai shot marte hue konse angle banane ki kosis kr rha.”

Delhi successfully chased down the target of 168 runs in 18.1 overs with six wickets remaining. Rishabh Pant made 41 runs, while debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk scored 55 runs off 35 balls. DC became the first team in IPL history to defeat LSG while chasing a total of 160 or more.

“We wanted a win badly” – Rishabh Pant on DC’s triumph over LSG by six wickets

Rishabh Pant expressed his joy at Delhi returning to winning form in IPL 2024, emphasizing the team’s need for a positive outcome at this stage. During the post-match presentation, Pant highlighted the inconsistency in Delhi’s bowling and stated:

“Little relief, we wanted a win badly. I was talking to the boys saying we need to think like champions, we need to keep fighting hard.”

”(On bowling) We have phases where we are not up to the mark, some individuals have to take responsibility for that. However, we stick together as a group. Some things you can control, some things we can’t.”

Delhi currently stands at the ninth position in the IPL 2024 points table, having secured two victories out of six matches. Their next match is against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, April 17th.
