Kamlesh Nagarkoti along with Shivam Mavi are two young and exciting prospects from India’s U-19 World Cup campaign back in 2018. The duo played a key role in India’s title-winning year under Prithvi Shaw. Soon after in the 2018 IPL auction, KKR bagged both of them in the auction.

Earlier this year, KKR CEO Venky Mysore in an interview, said that how former Indian skipper and U-19 coach Rahul Dravid regarded Kamlesh Nagarkoti very highly as a fielder and was a big fan of his fielding skills.

“Rahul Dravid had told me that he is one of the best fielders going around in India. He would compete with the likes of Jadeja, which is a big statement from someone like Rahul Dravid,”  Mysore recalls Dravid’s words on the young pace-bowling all-rounder.

Meanwhile, after this win, KKR are now in the top two of the IPL 2020 points table. They are placed second with two wins from three games with four points and a net run-rate of +0.117.
