Kanpur administration has ordered an inquiry probe into the allegation that cricketer Kuldeep Yadav was administered coronavirus vaccine at the guest house and not at the hospital where he had booked a slot. Kuldeep had received the coronavirus vaccine on Saturday. He also posted a photo urging everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the second wave of coronavirus has wreaked havoc in the country with daily positive cases touching the 250000-mark. The death toll has hit new highs with people struggling to avail oxygen and hospital beds. BCCI also postponed IPL 2021 amid the COVID-19 crisis after 29 matches.

“Get vaccinated immediately whenever you get a chance. Be safe because you need to be united in the fight against COVID-19,” Kuldeep tweeted in Hindi.

According to reports, Kuldeep Yadav was given a vaccine shot in the lawn of Kanpur Nagar Nigam guest house. Kuldeep had booked a slot at the Jageshwar Hospital in Govind Nagar. Instead of getting vaccinated there, he received the shot in the guest house.

Kanpur District Magistrate Alok Tiwari said ADM Atul Kumar has been asked to inquire about the matter properly and submit the report at the earliest. Kuldeep Yadav who got his first shot of the COVID vaccine on Saturday had shared a photo on social media and urged people to get themselves vaccinated.

Kuldeep Yadav has often been in the news for not getting picked in the playing 11. He has featured for very few matches since the 2019 World Cup and since then has been irregular in the national side. The young spinner had blown hot and cold in IPL 2021 losing the confidence of the management. After missing out on a ticket to UK, he is expected to be picked for the upcoming tour against Sri Lanka.
