Though England are leading the two test match series 1-0, their batsman have had a fair share of their struggle against the Lankan spinners. Meanwhile, former England skipper Kevin Pietersen has come up with a unique solution for the current players playing the Test series in the island nation. He has asked the England and Wales Cricket Board to dish out copies of an email that Rahul Dravid sent to him to better his game against spin.

On Saturday, seeing the England batsmen struggle in the second Test against Sri Lankan spinners at Galle, Kevin Pietersen decided to tweet the picture of the email that Dravid sent him. In the email, Dravid spoke about different ways to handle spin bowling. He highlighted the importance of not committing on the front foot and not worrying about getting beaten every now and then.

“Crawley & Sibley need to go find the email that Dravid sent me about playing spin. Changed my game,” Kevin Pietersen tweeted.

The former England batsman, after sharing the words from Dravid, also said that Crawley and Sibley can call him to discuss how to tackle spin.

“Hey @englandcricket, print this and give it to Sibley & Crawley. They can call me to discuss it at length if they want,” he said.

The England openers have had a torrid time in the Test series so far. They have played three innings and have failed to score runs. Sibley has scored just six runs from three innings while Crawley has scored just 22. England can thank their skipper Joe Root as it was for his double ton in the first Test which made a win possible for their team.

More spin awaits the England cricket team as they are slotted to play India next in a full-fledged series. England will tour India between February 5 to March 28 for four Tests, five T20Is and three ODIs. Chennai will host the first two Tests. The final two Tests will be played at the newly built stadium in Ahmedabad. It has a crowd capacity of 110,000 spectators, making it the biggest-capacity cricket ground in the world.
