KL Rahul climbs nine places to a career-high in ICC T20I Rankings

In the latest ICC T20I batsmen rankings, the Indian star batsmen KL Rahul has moved to number 3 position due to his brilliant performance in T20I rankings against England.

Australia’s star batsman Aaron Finch who made the batting look easy in the recently concluded Tri-series involving Pakistan and Zimbabwe has moved to number 1.

He scored the highest individual score in T20I of 172 and also became the first batsmen to cross 900 marks in the shortest format during the Tri-series. He made 84 in an only T20I match against England. In the Tri-series the Australian captain Finch continued his superb form with scores of 68, 172, 16, 3 and 47.

Pakistan hard-hitting batsman Fakhar Zaman had a tremendous tri-series with great starts to the team in almost all matches. His best score in T20I came during the finals against Australia scoring 91 off 46 balls to win the title. He climbed 44 spots to number 2nd after the series.

KL Rahul played a great knock in the first T20I match against England scoring 101 not out helping India to an 8 wicket win. In the next two matches, Rahul could not contribute many runs.

New Zealand hard-hitting batsman Collin Munro slipped down to the 4th place. Pakistan star batsman Babar Azam who did not play the Tri-series moved down to 5th.

Australian Glenn Maxwell who did not have a great Tri-series with low scores also slipped down to 6th in the batsmen rankings.

West Indies hard-hitting batsman Evin Lewis slipped down to 7th. Martin Guptill, the opener of New Zealand team also moves one place down to 8th.

England’s Alex Hales stays static at number 9. Australia’s opener Darcy Short moves into 10th spot scoring 46 and 76 both against Pakistan.

In the latest team rankings, India moves into 2nd place with the series win over England. Pakistan is at the top of team rankings in T20I’s.

As far as bowlers are concerned, Yuzvendra Chahal is only Indian at number 4.
