Fans on Twitter weren’t pleased after KL Rahul wasn’t selected in the Indian squad for the second Test against Australia. Today the team was announced one day before the boxing day Test in which everyone expected KL Rahul to feature. In the last two days, Rahul had spent a considerable amount of time batting in the nets and it was assumed that he will surely play the second Test.

Team India did make a total of 4 changes in their squad from the previous match but Rahul still didn’t find a place in the squad. The fans on Twitter were baffled not be Rahul’s name in the playing XI as they again criticised the team management on Twitter. The bluebird was buzzing for KL Rahul as a majority of the fans wanted to see him play at MCG.

KL Rahul Not Picked For The Second Test

In recent times KL Rahul has scored heavily in white-ball cricket hence supporters want to see him given chances even in Test cricket. Rahul could have opened alongside Mayank Agarwal or batted in the middle order in absence of Virat Kohli. However, the team management chose not to play Rahul in the second Test which made several fans furious on Twitter.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul has the experience of playing Test cricket in Australia. Interestingly he made his debut at MCG in 2014 and also scored his maiden Test ton in Australia. Experience of Rahul would have been handy in the second Test but the management once again overlooked him. Shubman Gill will make his Test match debut at MCG who is now likely to play as an opener.
