KL Rahul Visits The West Coast Eagles Football Club In Perth Before The 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Indian cricketer KL Rahul visited the West Coast Eagles Football Club in Perth in preparation for the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, set to begin on November 22. The Karnataka batter has been focused on getting ready for the series, with his most recent outing being in the second unofficial Test between India A and Australia A.

Rahul faced a challenging match, scoring just 4 and 10 in his two innings, as Australia A claimed a six-wicket win. On Thursday, November 14, the West Coast Eagles Football Club shared photos of KL Rahul’s visit to their Mineral Resources Park on their X account, accompanied by a caption.

Rahul’s latest appearance for the senior team was in the first match of the three-Test series against New Zealand. The 32-year-old had a tough time, scoring a duck and 12 in his two innings, as the Black Caps triumphed by eight wickets.

After his disappointing performance in the opening Test, the right-handed batter was dropped for the following two matches. Despite the changes, India couldn’t reverse their fortunes, with New Zealand winning the next two Tests by 113 and 25 runs, respectively, to complete a series whitewash.

KL Rahul has accumulated more than 500 runs in Test matches against Australia

Veteran batter KL Rahul will face significant pressure to deliver in the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He made his debut in the 2014-15 BGT in Australia, playing in the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne, but struggled initially, scoring just four runs across two innings.

Despite the tough start, Rahul swiftly recovered in the next Test in Sydney, scoring a memorable maiden century of 110 runs off 262 balls. To date, he has played 11 Tests against Australia, accumulating 618 runs at an average of 34.33, with six fifties and one century.
