Kolkata Knight Riders: Full Squad After IPL 2026 Auction

Kolkata Knight Riders created a massive buzz during the IPL 2026 mini auction in Abu Dhabi by picking up Australia’s ace all-rounder Cameron Green for an unbelievable amount of ₹25.20 crores. Thus, the transaction turned Green into the costliest foreign player in the history of IPL auctions, leaving behind Rishabh Pant whom KKR had bought for ₹24.75 crores before IPL 2024.

The 26-year-old from Australia is perceived to be a very important part of KKR’s team for the next season after last year’s unsuccessful campaign. His versatility as a player offers not only the balance but also the depth that the franchise has been craving for. KKR’s recruitment of Green was a clear signal from the three-time winners that they want to have a rebuild strategy based on the international talents that have already proved their worth.

KKR also made a big investment in the Sri Lankan baller Matheesha Pathirana, who is a sensation, and they paid ₹18 crores to get him. Pathirana, who is famous for his extremely accurate yorkers, could be a great help to KKR in the death bowling department.

Besides, the franchise also brought in Kiwi Finn Allen for ₹2 crores, Indian batter Tejasvi Singh, who is uncapped, for ₹3 crores, and Rachin Ravindra, Akash Deep, and Mustafizur Rahman in addition to these players.
