Rishabh Pant has been a part of the Indian side in all formats of the game for some time now. However, then a lot of praises, he was mostly under constant criticism by fans and experts.
One of the major reasons behind the same would be his wrong shot selections that hasn’t pleased many. He wasn’t able to do justice to the role provided as he failed miserably in the time of need. In the recently concluded T20I against Bangladesh, he was questioned for his glovework too.
Indian standby skipper Rohit Sharma has now stood by Rishabh Pant. Ahead of the decider at Nagpur, Rohit said, “You know there is a lot of talk happening about Rishabh Pant every day, every minute. I just feel that he needs to be allowed to do what he wants to do on the field. I would request everyone to keep their eyes away from Rishabh Pant for a while.”
“He is a fearless cricketer and we (team management) want him to have that freedom. And if you guys take your eyes off him for some time, it will allow him to perform even better“, said Rohit who is in constant support for the 22-year old youngster.
All set for the decider
The stage is all set for the decider at Nagpur tomorrow. Rohit Sharma’s blistering knock led the side to victory at Rajkot. Can the top order seal the game yet again at Nagpur?
Only time will tell.
