West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons has picked his all-time T20 XI and named former India captain MS Dhoni as the captain of the side. Along with Dhoni, three others made the cut in Simmons’ all-time T20 XI.
Simmons went for his countryman Chris Gayle and India’s current T20I skipper, Rohit Sharma as his openers before going for Virat Kohli as the No.3 batter during a chat with Sportskeeda.
Gayle is currently the highest run-scorer in the shortest format of the game while Rohit is known for his big knocks at the start of the innings. Kohli on the other hand Kohli is the second-highest run-scorer in T20Is and the highest in the IPL, having played more than a decade in the format.
Lendl Simmons picked AB de Villiers, Kieron Pollard, and MS Dhoni as his middle-order bat. The Chennai Super Kings captain will also don the wicket-keepers’ gloves. The three names are enough to unrattle the bowlers.
Rashid Khan and Sunil Narine are the specialist spinners in Simmons’ lineup. The Afghanistan spinners is arguably the best in the business in the shortest format while Narine is known for mystery. Both are well equipped with the bat and can play the long handle.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kagiso Rabada are the specialist pacers in his lineup. Simmons also selected veteran Dwayne Bravo in his eleven. Bravo is currently leading the Delhi Bulls in the Abu Dhabi T10 League after retiring from international cricket earlier this month.
