The carnage that was started in Abu Dhabi by Mumbai Indians was ended by Mumbai Indians as they bottled Rajasthan Royals to a mere 136 in just 18.1 overs to convincingly win the match by a whopping 57 run margin. The onslaught began in the first innings as Suryakumar Yadav was back in form this season as he went on to score an unbeaten 79 off 47 deliveries.
Hardik Pandya too joined the party along with Suryakumar Yadav as he smashed a quickfire 30 off 19 balls to take Mumbai Indians to a mammoth total of 194. Well, this all started at the toss as Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first at Abu Dhabi. Just like how Rajasthan Royals bowlers had no answer to the Mumbai Indians batsmen similarly the Rajasthan Royals batsmen too had no answer to Mumbai Indians bowlers.

The Rajasthan Royals batting innings started in absolute dismay as the young sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal lost his wicket on the very second delivery of the innings. Which was followed by back to back wickets of Steve Smith who was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah and then Sanju Samson’s wicket who the victim of an absolute scorcher of a catch by substitute fielder Anukul Roy.
In the end, it was all down to Jos Buttler to finish the match off for Rajasthan but again he was too a victim off another blinder by Kieron Pollard on the long-on boundary. After Buttler’s departure, it was just a matter of time until Mumbai Indians wrap this up as Jasprit Bumrah finished the match off with the figures of 4 overs 20 runs 4 wickets to his name.
Loving The Added Responsibility At The Top Of The Order – Suryakumar Yadav
The man of the match of today’s game between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals was Suryakumar Yadav for his stellar show with the bat as he scored 79 off 47 deliveries. At the post-match presentation, Suryakumar Yadav said that he felt this big innings was coming since in the previous game he was just finding ways to get out.
Also, the consistent right-handed batsman mentioned how he’s enjoying the added responsibility at the top order for Mumbai Indians.
“I felt it was coming in this game because in the last few games I was finding ways to get out. This time I just wanted to bat till the end. Loving the added responsibility at the top of the order, and I’ve just been told to play my game and express myself and I did just that,” Steve Smith said.

Harsha Bhogle further asked him about his unorthodox shots he played today, to which Suryakumar Yadav said he had practised them in the recent lockdown. He further went on to talk about how his team winning with the help of his performance is satisfying for him.
“The lockdown helped me with my off-side game rather than just my leg-side pick-up shot. The team winning is really satisfying and at that situation, I had to bat till the end to get the team to a perfect total, and then the bowlers came and finished things off,” Suryakumar Yadav signed off.
