The Kolkata Knight Riders have posted a video message of gratitude to their co-owner, the seasoned Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who is frequently spotted cheering his team on at the stadium during the Indian Premier League.
In an apparent jab at Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka for his recent outburst at captain KL Rahul, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) took to social media platform X ahead of their season’s final home game to express their sincere gratitude for co-owner Shah Rukh Khan’s support and love.
Many people took notice of Goenka’s passionate conversation with Rahul following LSG’s humiliating 10-wicket loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier this week. Goenka arrived on the pitch to meet KL Rahul and head coach Justin Langer after SRH obliterated LSG’s hopes of qualifying for the playoffs with 166 runs in only 9.4 overs. He might be seen scolding them.
Goenka was seen to be upset over the big loss and voicing his frustration about it. The public has not been pleased with the LSG owner’s behaviour, and he has come under fire from several sources.

The KKR posted a heartfelt video montage on X, wherein they criticized Goenka for his deplorable conduct towards Rahul. The montage showed clips of the Bollywood actor interacting with team captain Shreyas Iyer and his teammates during various IPL 2024 matches. Through the widely shared article, the KKR demonstrated how the owner ought to act and interact with his players.
Shah Rukh Khan can be seen interacting with KKR players, giving them warm embraces, and thanking the fans for their steadfast support throughout the season in the little video that the Kolkata club posted on X. Notably, this season, the co-owner of the KKR has been the team’s best cheerleader and source of support.
On May 11, at 7:30 p.m., the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the renowned Eden Gardens in Kolkata. KKR is comfortably atop the points table with 16 points and an A1 net run rate of +1.453, meaning they are virtually guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. They would have a lot of confidence after winning three straight games.
