In an electrifying match at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kritipur today, the Lumbini Lions triumphed over the Biratnagar Kings by 5 wickets in the Nepal Premier League. The championship’s chasing of 145 runs set by the opponent was highly demonstrated by the Lions’ batters, which led them to the victory. D’arcy Short spearheaded the Lion attack with a well-built 57 from 44, while Niroshan Dickwella was a valuable contributor with 29 off 22, and Sundeep Jora rounded it up with 24 off just 15 balls.
The combined efforts of these players steered Lumbini Lions through to a comfortable victory by chasing down the target in 20 overs with an aggressive batting plan and deep batting lineup.
On the other hand, Lumbini Lions’ bowlers gave an extraordinary performance, with Sher Malla being the remarkable player to gain 3 wickets in 4 overs and taking the match award in this way. Even JJ Smit, Abhishesh Gautum, and Ruben Trumplemann managed to take one wicket each to contribute.
