Team India cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin reacted hilariously to teammate Cheteshwar Pujara rolling his arms during day five of the fourth Test match on Monday, March 13 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the 2023 Border Gavaskar Trophy. The match ended in a draw, and Team India retained the trophy with a 2-1 series win.

During the fifth day’s play, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma brought in Cheteshwar Pujara to bowl the 78th over from the Adani End. He bowled to the likes of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne. Pujara gave away just one run in the over. It turned out to be the second-last over of the match. Reacting to Cheteshwar Pujara’s bowling, Ravichandran Ashwin shared a tweet with a snap from the game. He wrote, “Main kya karu? Job chod du? (What should I do? Leave the job?”

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are joint-winners of the Player of the Series award

Team India’s spin wizards Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were the joint-winners of the Player of the Series award in the 2023 Border Gavaskar Trophy. Ashwin was the leading wicket-taker in the series with 25 wickets, while Jadeja was second with 22 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja also contributed 135 runs with the bat, while R Ashwin scored 86 runs.

Speaking about their performance, Ravichandran Ashwin said, “It has been a great journey. We (himself and Jadeja) started a long time ago but we wouldn’t be the same or lethal enough without the other. We need to recognize that, at least I have started recognizing that over the last 2-3 years.”

“He gives me a lot of freedom to be creative with the ball, credit to him, I thought he bowled beautifully in the Delhi Test as well and that’s why we are here today. Jaddu keeps it really simple, he does not fret around or bother about what has happened, but I saw him sit in one place for an hour after he got out, so that told me how disappointed he was and that came out today,” added Ravichandran Ashwin.
