Matthew Wade and Rishabh Pant were constantly sledging each other on day 3 of the boxing day Test match. The two feisty wicket-keepers didn’t hold back and came up with interesting sledges towards each other. The Test match between India and Australia at MCG has been action-packed as both teams have played the game in good spirits.

However today Australia’s wicket-keeper batsman Matthew Wade did cross the line when he made fun of Rishabh Pant being overweight. Wade seemed irritated with the constant chatter of Pant from behind the stumps and said something unacceptable.

Wade after cracking a boundary through the off-side started laughing at Pant and then passed a personal remark towards Pant. The Indian wicket-keeper was successful in getting under the skins of Wade as he couldn’t hold himself back and tagged Pant as overweight which was caught on the stump mic.

“You’re 25 kilos overweight. Are you 20 kilos, 25 or 30 kilos overweight? You’re looking at yourself on the big screen again? Very funny watching yourself on the screen”, Matthew Wade said while looking at Rishabh Pant.

“He just laughs all the time. He doesn’t really say much, he’s just always laughing at you. I don’t know what’s so funny, it must be my batting,” Matthew Wade added while talking to commentators about the sledging of Rishabh Pant.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see whether or not ICC takes strict action against Wade made who an indecent comment towards Pant. On the field, Rishabh Pant had the last laugh as Wade was dismissed for 40 runs in the third session on Day 3.

Team India are currently on the verge of a historic overseas Test win under Ajinkya Rahane at MCG. The visitors will be looking to pick the remaining 4 wickets quickly tomorrow and level the series 1-1.
