Mehidy Hasan Miraz Gifts Rohit Sharma A Bat From His New Company

Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz presented a bat from his newly launched company, MKS Sports, to Indian captain Rohit Sharma last year. The gift followed the recent away Test series between India and Bangladesh. Mehidy, a spin-bowling all-rounder, was delighted to give Rohit a bat, fulfilling a personal wish he had long held. The 26-year-old has gained recognition for his consistent performances and is seen as a potential successor to Shakib Al Hasan in the role of Bangladesh’s premier all-rounder.

Mehidy Launches MKS Sports

Mehidy co-founded MKS Sports with former Bangladesh opener Imrul Kayes and other friends. The company has been gaining traction in the cricketing world, much like Mehidy himself, who has become one of Bangladesh’s standout players. His impressive performances, particularly during the historic Test series win over Pakistan, have positioned him as a rising star. Bangladesh’s coach has even suggested that Mehidy is poised to take over from Shakib Al Hasan as the team’s leading all-rounder.

In a video posted on social media by MKS Sports, Mehidy expressed his happiness about gifting Rohit the bat, saying:
“I am with Rohit bhai and I gifted him a bat from my company. I always wished to give him a bat and so I am very happy.”

Rohit Sharma Praises Mehidy

Rohit Sharma also shared his thoughts in the same video, acknowledging Mehidy’s potential and expressing pride in his new venture. Rohit said:
“I know Mehidy from a long time. He is a very good cricketer. And I am very proud of him that he has started his own bat company along with some of his friends. I want to wish him all the best, may god give him all the success. And I hope this company will rise above everyone else.”

Mehidy will next feature in the T20I series against India starting on October 6, followed by a home Test series against South Africa later in the month, with matches scheduled in Dhaka and Chattogram.
