‘Yuzvendra Chahal Is A High-Class T20 Bowler’ – Michael Vaughan

Michael Vaughan during the post-match show of Cricbuzz hailed Chahal for his bowling show after being included in the playing Xi as a concussion substitute. He spoke about the mindset that goes into play and how Yuzvendra Chahal managed to bank on the opportunity when presented to him in between a match.

“I reckon it’s about taking a chance. It’s down to choosing individuals. You sit on the bench and sulk. You complain it to some of your teammates that you are not playing and you have a mindset that when I get my chance. Today, he got a chance in the game. It doesn’t happen too often that you suddenly are allowed to bowl in the game when you are not selected for it,” Vaughan told Cricbuzz.

He further added how Yuzvendra Chahal will be a sure starter in the 2nd T20 following his strong bowling show in the 1st T20 at the Manuka Oval. Michael Vaughan termed Chahal as a high-class T20 bowler and will be eager to finish off in sublime fashion in next two T20s.

“Again, it’s a strange era of cricket. Yeah, he’ll be playing on Sunday that’s for sure. He bowled beautifully. He’s a high class T20 bowler. He goes back at the SCG where the Australians got the better of him in the 50-over game. Now, it’s his time to play a couple of T20s to have his final say with the ball,” he added.
