Minor Boy Arrested For Giving Rape Threats To MS Dhoni’s Daughter Ziva

Social media has been bowling ever since rape threats were hurled at the five-year-old daughter of MS Dhoni – Ziva owing to Chennai Super Kings poor run in IPL 2020. After tightening security at Dhoni’s farmhouse, police has now arrested the 16-year-old minor boy who made vile comments on social media.

Meanwhile, the minor has confessed on posting such distasteful comments on social media after Chennai Super Kings’ game against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020. The threats allegedly appeared on MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi’s Instagram accounts.

“The class 12 student was detained for questioning in connection with a disgusting threat message that was posted on the Instagram account of Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni a few days back,” said Kutch (West) superintendent of police Saurabh Singh.

Ranchi police acted swiftly to contact to Kutch police and shared the information of the boy. They soon tracked the boy and arrested him. He will now be handed to Ranchi police as the FIR was filed there.

“We detained him for questioning after Ranchi police informed us that the accused hails from Mundra in Kutch district. We have confirmed that the boy is the same who had posted the message. He will be handed over to Ranchi police as the FIR was lodged in that city,” the SP said.

The Ranchi Police team is likely to reach Kutch tomorrow to take custody of the teenager. Earlier, Ranchi police have tightened the security at former India captain’s farmhouse. Police said that besides increasing patrolling, some personnel in civil clothes have also been deployed near his farmhouse to keep a close vigil on suspicious elements.

Meanwhile, the incident has been slammed from all quarters. From former cricketers to administrative personnel; they have criticised the turns of events.
