The IPL 2020 is in full flow in the United Arab Emirates. Fans are ecstatic to see their favourite players play once again. The one player that everyone was looking forward to seeing in this IPL season was MS Dhoni.
After more than a year Dhoni finally returned to action for Chennai Super Kings. However, the legendary finisher has so far struggled for runs in the last 3 matches. Dhoni hasn’t been able to time the ball perfectly and has looked rusty in IPL so far.
The CSK skipper has also batted way down the order, as a result, he hasn’t been able to produce match-winning knocks. Now Sourav Ganguly has come forward in support of Dhoni and has pointed out that he needs more time to find his old touch.
MS Dhoni Should Bat At 4- Sourav Ganguly
“In the current situation, it will take some time for him to get back to his old touch. He played a cricket match after about one year and six months. It’s not easy however good you are. It will take some time,” Sourav Ganguly said during a media interaction after being named brand ambassador of the Bengal Peerless group.
The BCCI president also added that Dhoni should bat higher up the order to find his lost rhythm. Ganguly thinks that Dhoni should be batting at the number 4 spot for CSK in IPL 2020.
“When Dhoni was in prime form and was the captain, then I was in broadcast and had said that he should bat at number four,” he said.

Meanwhile, during the chase against Rajasthan Royals at Sharjah batted as low as 7. This came as a massive surprise as by the time Dhoni came out to bat the match was already done and dusted.
“I haven’t batted for a long time. 14-day quarantine doesn’t help’, Dhoni had said after the match when asked about his batting position.
Furthermore, MS Dhoni needs to be at his best going forward for CSK. His side has had a difficult start to IPL 2020 as they have just one a single match out of 3. Dhoni’s men in their next match will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad on 2 September (Friday).
