Mukesh Kumar was the standout bowler for the Rest of India against Mumbai in the ongoing Irani Cup at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Day 3 (Thursday, October 3). He dismissed M Juned Khan, helping to bundle out Mumbai and secure his five-wicket haul in the match.
Mukesh also took the wickets of Prithvi Shaw, Ayush Mhatre, Hardik Tamore, and Shams Mulani. He achieved his five-wicket haul in the 141st over of Mumbai’s innings. The speedster delivered a length ball at the stumps, which Juned couldn’t defend, resulting in his off-stump being knocked out.

Mukesh excelled in the 2024 Duleep Trophy, taking 15 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls. However, the 30-year-old was not included in the Indian team for the recent two Tests against Bangladesh. He has participated in three Tests, claiming seven wickets.
His most recent appearance for India was in the T20I series against Zimbabwe in July, where he took eight wickets in three matches, including a standout performance of 4/22.
Notably, he was not selected for the T20I series in Sri Lanka. In white-ball internationals, Mukesh has taken 20 wickets in 17 T20Is and five wickets in six ODIs.

Sarfaraz scored an unbeaten 222 runs off 286 balls, featuring four sixes and 25 boundaries. Captain Ajinkya Rahane contributed with 97 runs off 234 balls, including one six and seven fours.
Tanush Kotian, Shreyas Iyer, and Shardul Thakur also made valuable contributions, scoring 64 (off 124 balls), 57 (off 84 balls), and 36 (off 59 balls), respectively.
