This youngster from Jharkhand was just unstoppable the other night. Walked in to bat when Mumbai Indians were three down in the power play against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He then went on to score 99 runs as he got into a hundred run partnership with Kieron Pollard.

Going ahead in this season we should watch out for this young man as he carries the reputation of being a successful captain of the India U-19 side in the 2016 World Cup. Since this season has been the season of youngsters so far let’s just hope he gets going furthermore.

2. Rashid Khan

We criticised the leg spinner from Afghanistan for his failure to pick up wickets for the Sunrisers Hyderabad side in the first two games.

But he came back strong in the 3rd game where SRH emerged victorious, he also ended up winning the man of the match award for picking up 2 crucial wickets in his 4 overs. Also in the game against Chennai Super Kings the other day, Rashid bowled a phenomenal spell of 4 overs by giving away just 12 runs.

3. Priyam Garg

Youngsters shining in this year’s IPL has become a usual thing now, after Devdutt Padikkal and Sanju Samson it was Priyam Garg who showed his prowess this time. Sunrisers Hyderabad were struggling with 4 wickets down with hardly anything on the board.

That is when Priyam Garg walked in and absolutely torn down the Chennai Super Kings bowlers as he went on to score 51 off just 26 balls which ended up being a winning knock for the Sunrisers Hyderabad side.

4. Rohit Sharma

When we talk about the top 5 players to watch out for its very hard to ignore a quality batsman like Rohit Sharma. The hitman has been a phenomenal captain for the Mumbai Indians franchise ever since from Ricky Ponting in 2013 and has four IPL titles for the Mumbai Indians franchise.

In this season, Rohit didn’t really have the greatest of starts but he managed to score a knock of 80 runs in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Furthermore, he was extremely unlucky in that match against RCB, where he got caught at the long boundary. But overall we should expect big innings from the Hitman very soon as the season progresses.

5. Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya

Kung Fu Pandya or Hardik Pandya didn’t have the ideal start to this season as he wasn’t bowling because of his injury and even in his batting, he wasn’t clicking that well. But in the match against Kings XI Punjab, Hardik Pandya absolutely wrecked the bowlers in the death as he ended up scoring 30 runs off just 11 deliveries.

He did really cause havoc the other day and we do expect him to cause even more havoc as the season gets going. He will bring a different dynamic altogether when he starts bowling in IPL 2020.
