Good times seem to be back for Indian test specialist Murali Vijay. After being dropped from the side for the last two tests, Essex cricket club has now signed him for the remainder of the season.
The news comes as a delight for the stylish opener Murali Vijay as he can work on the techniques before windies series next month. Vijay, who was the leading run scorer for the side in 2014 England tour failed to create an impact in this tour.
A pair in Lord”s test declined his chances to feature in the competitive XI. It is to be noted that the Indian team played a practice game against Essex before the series and his half-century proved to be a vital one for the side.

Cook, who recently announced his retirement already said that he will feature in the county side. It will be really interesting if both of them can defend the county championship successfully this season.
Murali Vijay is excited to be heading to Essex for the end of the Specsavers County Championship and said: “I was here with the India side about a month ago and saw first-hand just how good the crowd is. I can’t wait to play for Essex and hopefully win some matches.”

On the other hand, Axar Patel did a lot of wonders to Durham. His spell of 7/54 proved his competency in overseas conditions. It is clearly evident that county exposure is really bringing the best out of an individual and its all up to Vijay to make his experience a cherishing one.
