Musheer Khan Shares Heartwarming Chat With Sarfaraz Post His Historic Test Selection

Sarfaraz Khan’s debut Test call-up for the India vs England match in Vizag coincided with his younger brother Musheer’s remarkable performance in the Under-19 World Cup. Musheer, making waves with two centuries in the tournament, joyously shared how Sarfaraz informed him about the Test selection, creating a jubilant atmosphere in their cricketing household.

In the Super Six clash against New Zealand, Musheer’s bat orchestrated a symphony on the Mangaung Oval’s batting-friendly pitch. Setting a milestone by becoming the first player to surpass 300 runs in the current competition, he eclipsed Shahzaib Khan’s record with an impressive innings of 131. Musheer’s explosive batting display included 13 fours and three sixes off just 125 balls, showcasing not only his power-hitting prowess but also his ability to accelerate when needed.

Musheer Khan said: “My brother called me yesterday and he said that he has been selected in the Indian squad for the second Test. I want to congratulate hi for this.”

“It feels really good that I have scored two centuries and I want to continue batting well. It gives a sense of confidence. It was a bit of a slow pitch and our bowlers are in good flow and we got the results. I focus on the process and focus on bowling in tight areas.”

The 18-year-old exhibited impeccable temperament, maneuvering the crease with finesse and strategically accelerating the scoring rate. From an audacious upper-cut for a boundary to a calculated display of running between the wickets, Musheer’s innings was a testament to his multifaceted batting skills. Unfortunately, his innings concluded in the death overs while attempting to push the scoring further, marking an end to a captivating display of talent on the cricket field.
