Chepauk Super Gillies batter Narayan Jagadeesan has apologised for his wrong and inappropriate actions which he did in the first match of the ongoing season of Tamil Nadu Premier league. The video of this incident went viral on social media and fans criticised Jagadeesan for his actions.

Baba Aparajith ran out Jagadeesan at non striker end for backing up excessively and trying to gain an unfair advantage. Jagadeesan wasn’t happy with his mankad dismissal. He expressed his anger on the field and made an inappropriate gesture while walking back to dressing room.

Jagadeesan has apologised publicly for it. In his apology tweet, Jagadeesan wrote: “My deepest apologies to all of you for my inexcusable behaviour at yesterday’s match. Cricket has always been what I live for – and the sportsmanship that comes along with the sport is something I deeply respect. Which is why it is very hard for me to digest how I reacted.”

“Passion is always key in any sport – but controlling it and channelising it the right way is more important. And that is something I failed at doing when I let my temper get the better of me. No excuses for what has been done, I will do better and be better. With Regret, Jagadeesan.“, Jagadeesan added.

“It was an exciting game”- Baba Indrajith on the emotions during super over

Nellai Royal Kings defeated the Chepauk Super Gillies in the Super Over in a crunch match. It will be a tough game to swallow for Chepauk Gillies. Baba Indrajith in post match presentation said: This is the perfect 1st game for everybody, for the fans. It was an exciting game. Definitely not the pitch, we have to put our hands up and say we did not bat well in the powerplay”

Several cricket fans were unhappy with the conduct of Jagadeesan on the field. Fans believe that he should have kept his calm in that situation. Jagadeesan accepted his mistake and said that he couldn’t control and channelise his inner anger at that moment.
