MS Dhoni, known for his humility and simplicity, once again proved why he is loved beyond boundaries. During a recent interaction, the legendary former Indian captain made a touching gesture for a fan while giving him an autograph. Dhoni, who last featured in the IPL 2025 season, was seen signing on a fan’s bike first before moving on to give him an autograph on his hand. As he was about to sign, Dhoni asked the fan how he wanted it written.

The fan, overwhelmed by the moment, said he was fine with however Dhoni preferred. But the ever-gracious cricketer insisted on making it just right for his admirer. With his signature calmness, Dhoni responded, “Nahi tum batao hum phir set karlenge (No, you tell then I will set it that way).” The fan then showed Dhoni the direction in which he wanted the autograph, and the veteran player obliged with a warm smile.

Dhoni’s Simple Lifestyle Off The Field

In the video, Dhoni was spotted wearing a jacket and track pants with his helmet on, keeping his casual and down-to-earth style intact. Since the end of IPL 2025, he has often been seen around his hometown in Jharkhand, where he spends quality time away from the spotlight.

Despite owning an enviable collection of luxury bikes and cars, Dhoni’s simplicity continues to win hearts. His interactions with fans always reflect the same humble nature that has defined him throughout his career. The moment, though brief, once again highlighted the emotional connection Dhoni shares with his supporters, who see in him not just a cricketing legend but a grounded individual who never lets fame change him.

Dhoni’s Return For IPL 2026 Confirmed

Amid speculations about his future, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have officially confirmed that MS Dhoni will continue to play in the 2026 edition of the IPL. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan stated, “MS has told us that he will be available for the next season,” ending all rumors about his retirement. Ahead of the 2025 season, Dhoni had been retained for ₹4 crore under the ‘uncapped player’ category.

Although CSK had a tough season, finishing at the bottom of the table, Dhoni contributed 196 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 135.17. Over his remarkable IPL career spanning 278 matches, Dhoni has amassed 5439 runs with 24 half-centuries, leading CSK to five championship titles. His presence remains the heart of the franchise, both on and off the field.
