BShrikant Mundhe, the 27 year old fast bowler from Nanded Maharashtra shot into fame when he bagged 10 wickets in an innings in Liverpool Competition Premier league. It is the first time a bowler has taken 10 wickets in an innings in Liverpool Competition Premier League ever since the inception of the tournament in 1999.
Mundhe achieved this feat playing for Colwyn Bay at Penrhyn Avenue. His 10-85 helped Colwyn Bay bowl out Rock Bottom Park for 168. Then requiring 169, Colwyn Bay were struggling at 126-8 before Mundhe came in and top scored with the bat with 44* and saw his team home.
This is only for the fifth time since 1949 that a bowler has claimed all 10 wickets in an innings in any form of cricket. Shrikant Mundhe made history by becoming the first Liverpool Competition Premier League bowler to take 10 wickets in an innings.
