Windies won the match comfortably against the World XI at Lord”s by 72 runs. Evin Lewis and Andre Russell made sure to maximize the funds needed for the renovation of devastated stadiums at Jamaica and other neighbourhood grounds.
World XI had no answers for the fierce deliveries from the two-time champions and they slumped all of a sudden. Though Gayle struggled with the bat, the team effort made them to handover a target of 200 runs to the opposition.
Meanwhile, one incident left the audience puzzled during the match. Nasser Hussain, the former England captain redefined the word “on-field” commentary by walking across the ground and giving the updates. He was also spotted at several fielding positions ranging from slips to the bowler”s end.

He engaged in an interview with the players in due course of the match. Mitchell McClenaghan, Gayle and Afridi were few of them who took some time to answer his questions on the mic. This is the first instance of such happenings on the field and several people questioned whether there is a possibility of hindrances during an International match.
Nasser also had a talk with the audience along the fence and they extended their support to the hurricane T20 relief match. Millions of audience watched the match live on the official Facebook page of the ICC.
