New Zealand Announce ODI Squad To Take On England

New Zealand named a strong One-day international to face England starting on September 8th. It will be an ideal preparation ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 taking place in India. Tom Latham will lead the squad as Kane Williamson is recovering from an injury. The biggest news is that Trent Boult would making a comeback into the national squad after his last ODI match against Australia on September 11th, 2022.

It will be a major boost for the New Zealand team as they would be looking to prepare ahead of the World Cup 2023. Kyle Jamieson has been included in the ODI squad after recovering from an injury. He played his last One-day international match against the Netherlands on 4th April 2022. New Zealand has a strong unit and would be looking to give a tough fight to defending Champions England.

Devon Conway and Finn Allen comprise openers. Tom Latham, Will Young, Glenn Phillips, Henry Nicholls, and Daryl Mitchell would be the middle-order batters. Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson, Lockie Ferguson, Adam Milne, Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Matt Henry would look to put pressure on the England batters with their pace bowling.

Mitchell Santer, Rachin Ravindra, are the two spin bowling options included in the team. Both teams would look to gain confidence ahead of World Cup 2023. New Zealand and England would begin the tournament on 5th October at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

New Zealand and England played one of the best World Cup finals during the 2019 edition in Lords, London.
