Although it looks like a far-fetched dream but considering how modern-day cricket shaping, many would rule it out. Also, with the game tilted in favour of the batsmen, it would not be a surprise if a batsman goes on to score a triple century in ODIs or a double hundred in the shorter formats.

A few days ago, double in one-dayers also looked like an impossible task. But since Sachin Tendulkar achieved the landmark in 2010, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Rohit Sharma, and Martin Guptill, and Fakhar Zaman have done so.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is the most favourable among the current generation batsmen to score a triple century in ODIs or a double ton in T20Is. Recently, during a question-answer session, a fan asked him to pick one between an ODI triple ton and a T20I double ton.
“Wouldn’t it be nice to have both?” Rohit Sharma answered.
Meanwhile, Rohit sustained an injury during the five-match T20I series against New Zealand. Subsequently, he missed the ODI and Test series where India suffered humiliation against the host. Rohit will have to appear for a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy to make him available for selection when cricket resumes.
