The ‘Little Master’ Sachin Tendulkar during his career faced several legendary fast bowlers. From Wasim Akram, Glenn Mcgrath to Dale Steyn, the most prolific batsman of all time scored runs against everyone.
Tendulkar recently praised a fast bowler who troubled him a lot during the latter stages of his international career. He rated England fast bowler James Anderson extremely highly and stated that he is one of the best exponents of reverse swing.
Speaking to West Indies legend Brian Lara on his 100MB app, Tendulkar stated that Anderson was a very skilful fast bowler. He was different from the rest that knew the art of reverse swing. Sachin Tendulkar continued that he rates Anderson very high as he could control his wrist while delivering any type of delivery.
Tendulkar lauds James Anderson
Tendulkar said, “What I experienced over a period of time that he would hold the bowl as if he is bowling an outswinger but the release point, he would try and bring the ball back in. The number of batters would look at the wrist position and what he has actually done, he has shown you that he is bowling an inswinger but the imbalance between both sides of the ball will take the ball away from you”.

“Nobody had done that, now I have spotted even Stuart Broad doing that. But Anderson started this long time ago. So, I rate him very, very high and he is one of the best exponents of the reverse swing,” he added.

He is one of the best exponents of this art! Will be interesting to watch him bowl once the ball starts to reverse. #EngvWI @brianlara pic.twitter.com/zhPM8MXsUM
James Anderson has taken the most Test wickets by any fast bowler in the history of the game. He is currently part of the historic Test match that is being played between West Indies and England behind closed doors at Southampton.
Sachin Tendulkar concluded by saying that Anderson will be crucial for England and a key player for them during the Test series.
