“One Thing That I Reckon England Are Miles Better At Is Reviews” – Michael Vaughan

Virat Kohli-led India is not having a great time with the reviews. India has struggled a lot while taking the reviews and has lost most of them. Meanwhile, Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan feels India needs be very careful while opting for reviews.

Team India lost two reviews against England on the Day 2 of the Lord’s Test. Notably, in both cases, it looked like the review was taken more based on emotional instinct. In both the reviews India lost Mohammad Siraj was the bowler, Virat made the T signal to dismiss England captain Joe Root but they failed. Even Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant tried to stop Kohli from taking review but he was unsuccessful.

Speaking on Cricbuzz, Vaughan said when India takes the review it makes him laugh every time. Also, he suggested Virat Kohli led needs to make some changes if they want DRS in their favor. Vaughan stated:

“I cry with laughter when I see them all going together. It’s a little bit like government around the world at the minute. They need changing in their parliament to make decisions on the reviews. It’s not working, they need to bring in others, they need to bring in a little more experience.

Michael Vaughan Reckons England As A Smarter Side In Terms Of Review

Meanwhile, Michael Vaughan further added that team England is a superior side when it comes to taking reviews. Vaughan elaborated:

“They made me laugh. One thing that I reckon the England side are miles better at, is reviews. If the series is decided upon better kind of smartness in reviews, then England are going to win the series.”

Notably, India lost the two reviews, One in 23th over and one in 21st over. Also, this was India’s 21st unsuccessful review in their last 24 DRS. Meanwhile, When day 2 of Lord’s Test ended England was at 119/3. England was trailing by 245 runs with Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow on the crease.
