The reason behind the termination

Though sudden reasons behind the termination of Oppo”s sponsorship are unknown, it is learned that the firm isn”t satisfied with the price of the rights the BCCI acquired in 2017. According to the latest report from TOI, Oppo found it to be “extremely high” and “unsustainable”

Oppo outplayed Vivo in 2017 as the former successfully signed at 1079 crores. Oppo”s deal was said to be the highest till now as their prices were almost twice the ones paid by the previous sponsor Star media. The designs of the same aren”t out yet and further developments on this news are expected to be out very soon.

On the other hand, the Indian side is geared up for the USA and Carribean tour starting August 3rd. The squads are already out and the side will be departing soon. This series will be the one last time, where players will sport “Oppo” on their jerseys.
