KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty got married on January 23, 2023. The couple first met in 2019 through a mutual friend and dated for a few years before tying the knot. Their wedding was held at Athiya’s father, Suniel Shetty’s, mansion in Khandala.

KL Rahul has been added to the India A squad for the second unofficial Test against Australia A

KL Rahul was a late inclusion in India A’s squad for the ongoing unofficial Test against Australia A in Melbourne. The right-handed batter had a disappointing performance, scoring 4 and 10. The experienced player is going through a lean patch, having managed only 12 runs in two innings during India’s recent three-match home series against New Zealand.

Rahul was excluded from the playing XI for the remaining two matches. The 32-year-old will aim to make an impact in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, as the Rohit Sharma-led team needs to win the five-match series 4-0 to secure direct qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC 2023-25).

The batter has had a modest red-ball record in Australia, accumulating 185 runs from nine innings at an average of 20.77 in his five Test matches on Australian soil.

The highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series between India and Australia will begin in Perth on November 22. India has had the upper hand in recent years, winning four consecutive Test series against Australia.
