Pakistan are set to host West Indies in a three-match ODI series, which starts on Wednesday. The series, which was to be played in December 2021, was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the West Indies camp. The matches, rescheduled for June, were initially supposed to be played in Rawalpindi but moved to Multan.
West Indies recently toured the Netherlands where they secured a 3-0 win. Their top three enter this series in form, having scored centuries while Brandon King struck an unbeaten, match-winning 91 in one of the games.
But the stark difference in conditions will make it rather demanding for the tourists, who will be hoping to acclimatise and hit the straps soon.
Pakistan, on the other hand, are also coming from a win against Australia. They hosted a camp ahead of this series to prepare for the challenges of the weather. They have in-form players in their ranks and will hope to keep the momentum going.
