Pakistan Batsman Shan Masood Keen To Challenge Jasprit Bumrah

India and Pakistan clashes, over the years, have witnessed many duels which have entertained the fans to the fullest. Recently, Pakistan batsman Shan Masood revealed that he wants to challenge ace Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Incidentally, Masood, who sealed his berth in the Test side, has not faced Bumrah so far.

Bumrah has come up the ranks quickly in his short international career. From impressing in the Indian Premier League playing for Mumbai Indians to becoming the first-choice option for India skipper Virat Kohli. Speaking in a YouTube show Cricast, Masood opened up on challenging the Indian pacer before showering praise on him.

I want to take up Jasprit Bumrah challenge: Shan Masood

Shan Masood said that playing against Jasprit Bumrah is kind of a challenge that he wishes to take on next in his international career. The Pakistan Test batsman said that he is looking forward to facing the Indian speedster.

“I think when we talk about fast-bowlers around the world; I have never played against Bumrah. That is a challenge that I would want to take on,” Masood said during the talk show on YouTube.

Speaking on the rest of the bowler, Shan Masood picked South African speedster, Dale Steyn, as his favourite fast bowler. He also lauded Australia’s Pat Cummins, who topped the leaderboard last year along with the likes of South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and the fast bowler from England James Anderson.

“Talking about the best bowlers that I have played against in recent times, my personal favourite has always been Dale Steyn. Australia’s Pat Cummins is also up there. Looking at the past I would have to name Rabada and Anderson has also taken my wicket many times,” he said.

Shan Masood has represented Pakistan in 20 Test matches since making his debut in 2013.
