Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 17 man squad for the three T20s against England which will begin on 28th August. All the 17 members had arrived along with other Test specialists and were in a bio-secure bubble ever since.
Few members were already a part of the Test side which faced England in 3 tests whereas some new players have joined in. Mohammed Hafeez, who was into isolation after interacting with a fan next to the hotel, has also made the cut.

On the other hand, Shoaib Malik was the last member to arrive in England after spending time with his family in India. In all surprise, former captain Sarfaraz Khan has also made into the T20 squad but it will be left to see if he gets a game in the shortest format. Incidentally, he didn’t play a single Test as first-choice keeper Mohammed Rizwan made the cut.
Newly-appointed captain Babar Azam, who had a successful start to his captaincy career against Bangladesh will continue to lead. All eyes will be on Babar as he leads a fiercely young side going into the future. Meanwhile, we will also see T20 specialists Shoaib Malik and Haris Rauf in action as both of them have proved their mettle in foreign leagues.
On the flip side, Wahab Riaz and Mohammed Amir who had earlier announced retirement from the Test format will also be back in action. Though Wahab came out of Test retirement, he didn’t play any match.
